Natural mouldings are machined from natural Wawa planks and has been done like that since Serame Mouldings inception. Inherent to the natural nature there are always some degree of blue stain as well as small knots and cracks in the wood. Natural mouldings are sold as such and not filled or selected. Clear flaw free moulding only consists of approximately 10% of our production run.
We have different ways of hiding small flaws when we manufacture stained or painted mouldings so that they are not visible.
Should you however require mouldings which are perfect we will be happy to select for you. The price will be at 3.5 times the price list price as it is then a super AAA grade natural moulding.
American Hardwood mouldings
Our minimum order quantity on all American Harwood mouldings including other exotic species like Ramin is 60 + meters. We run these mouldings only on order. Stock holding will only be considered once fair take-up has been established.
Serame Mouldings cannot be held responsible for any warpage on American Hardwoods as this occurs after machining and is characteristic of hardwoods. We will therefore not be able to give any credit for warped mouldings in future.
Framers should allow 20% to 25% of loss when costing their frames to accommodate loss due to warping.
Should you however in this case require a Super AAA grade hardwood moulding we can supply you at 1.9 times the pricelist price.
Whitened mouldings
All special whitened mouldings (nonstandard profiles)will only be made on order given sufficient quantities with stock holding opportunities only if a final uptake date has been confirmed.
Please ensure to discuss your whitened moulding requirement to avoid out of stock situations on your side and fair uptake on our side.
