ALCOLEX 206 is a modified vinyl acetate ethylene (VAE) based packaging adhesive that is exceptionally fast
setting and offers excellent adhesion to difficult paper and board surfaces. It has a medium viscosity and
good rheology profile ideal for clean running on high speed wheel and roller applications. ALCOLEX 206
meets Code 21 of the U.S. FDA Regulations 175.105 (adhesives), and is suitable for indirect food contact.

Applications
Ideal for side seaming applications, particularly those involving difficult surfaces e.g. decorative boxes.
Suitable for paper and board laminating, carton closing, bookbinding (padding and casing in), windows on
envelopes, labeling of plastic bottles, blister packaging, photo mounting, freezer boxes, etc. Ideal for most
packaging applications where improved adhesion, faster setting, low temperature resistance, and or cleaner
machining is required

Adhesion
Excellent adhesion to various types of paper, paper-backed foil, and board e.g. kraft, baywhite, clay coated,
printed, varnished, and some wax coated surfaces. Also suitable for polycoated surfaces, PVC foil and corona
treated BOPP and OPP

Limitations
At least one surface must be porous. ALCOLEX 206 may not adhere to some wax coated papers and plastics.
Do not use when temperature, glue or materials are below 4°C
